DERMAPLANING
Dermaplaning is a popular skin care treatment that is a safe and effective way to remove the outer layers of dead skin cells and vellus hair (also known as “peach fuzz”) from your face.
It allows for products and active ingredients to penetrate deeper into the skin, which in turn, can allow your skin care products to better target issues such as pigmentation, acne scars, and fine lines.

POST-CARE
NeoGenesis immediately after Dermaplaning treatment
- Gently cleanse the skin with the Cleanser
- Apply Recovery serum to the face and neck, including the eye area
- Apply Skin Serum after Recovery, especially if the skin feels dry after the treatment
- Apply a small, pea size amount of Eye Serum using the ring finger to gently pat around the eyes
- Finish with Intensive Moisturizer or Barrier Renewal Cream
- Always wear a chemical free sunscreen during the day
*May continue with this protocol twice daily indefinitely
Post-Dermaplaning; Twice Daily
- Gently cleanse the skin with Cleanser
- Apply Recovery, Booster or Skin Serum to the face and neck, including the eye area. May combine any two of these if skin feels dry
- Apply a small, pea size amount of NeoGenesis Eye Serum using the ring finger to gently pat around the eyes
- Finish with NeoGenesis Light Moisturizer, Intensive Moisturizer or Barrier Renewal Cream
- Always wear a chemical free sunscreen during the day
RECOMMENDED PRODUCTS
Dermaplaning not only removes vellus hair from the face but it also removes layers of the surface of the skin. The process is controlled by the skin therapist and can be extremely light or more aggressive, leaving the barrier of the skin vulnerable.
To protect the barrier of the skin and help reduce any sensitivity, apply our most advanced product Recovery, abundant in S²RM® to the entire face immediately following a dermaplane treatment. For additional hydration, Skin Serum may be used after Recovery. Follow the serums with Barrier Renewal Cream or Intensive Moisturizer to promote barrier function. The use of a chemical free sunscreen during the day is important after dermaplaning due to the gentle exfoliation of the treatment.
For ongoing daily care at home, use Cleanser twice daily, followed by Recovery, Booster or Skin Serum. Apply to the entire face and neck, including around the eye area. When the eyes are in need of additional help due to dark circles and puffiness, apply the Eye Serum around the eye area. Finish with Light Moisturizer, Intensive Moisturizer or Barrier Renewal Cream to leave the skin hydrated and protected.
